The King Is Blind play The Black Heart, Camden on 31st January 2016. Support comes from twisted progressive dire Shrines and quality Death Metallers Obscene Entity.
Rentagob vocalist Stephen John Tovey waxed lyrical:
“Our Father is an album that musically and conceptually follows a linear progression, and, while each track can be delivered, venomously, in isolation and away from the narrative, it is with joy unencumbered that we are able to seize the opportunity to present our concept album as it was crafted, in full and in order, in an exclusive performance at The Black Heart, Camden.
The Black Heart is a prestigious venue where we won hearts and minds during a successful visit with Winterfylleth earlier this year, and, as such, was our primary location of choice once the conception of this performance was being eked into existence.
We promise a unique and incendiary performance of our debut album, and anticipate an evening of metal most molten, with the twisted minds and savage riffs of Obscene Entity and the progressive pummeling of Shrines to warm the most wintered and frost-bitten (black) hearts. Both bands have released excellent debut albums in the latter stages of this year, and permits the show to be a celebration of fresh, rising British HEAVY metal talent.
Ever since the final bricks were laid to the monolith monstrosity that is the dark, aggressive concept of Our Father we had an all-consuming urge to unleash it to the world in its naked, unfettered, ugly entirety, telling the story as it is meant to be told, from Genesis (refracted) to its dramatic denouement and conclusion.
Come join us on Sunday 31st January in recognition and acceptance of the true nature of Our Father.”
